VZ Wagon 9C1
Hi all,

Glad to be able to legitimately join, having just taken possession of a VZ Wagon 9C1 spec, plus a few other little bits and pieces.

In the center console there is button labelled 'PWR' which brings up a 'PWR Shift' dialogue on the dash display. I can't seem to find any information on what changes this makes.

Can someone enlighten me? Will get some pics up ASAP.

all it does is moves the shift point further up the rev range
eg it will normally shift at 2800 press power it will now shift at 3200 (example only guys)

Thanks! It is as I suspected :)

Anyone have any figures on its impact on economy?

it also adjusts the auto clutch release/apply zones..... so u'll use more fuel most of the time even if u drive slow with pwr mode on..... cause it's designed for u to drive faster :D

So in other words, the clutch is more aggressive between shifts? Meaning quicker shifts along with shift points higher up the rev range? Sounds fun...

Thanks people!

Wouldn't think of it, I am as much in favour of frugality as I am fun :)

As said its just the shift points and read somehwere on here ages ago it is only effective up until 80% throttle. After that both modes will be the same.

I use it when towing my boat, good to hold it for a second instead of changing up then dropping back 2 seconds later.

I've had mine turned on constantly for around the last 6 months and noticed no change in fuel economy...
