    Default cannot turn blinker off!

i got a dtrange problem, when ever i lock my car or unlock it one of the blonkers will stay on and won't go off, even if i start the car and play with the indicators (the other one will blink but the other one will stay on). i have to unlock the car lock it agian like 5 times or so sometimes less sometimes more. its anoying as hell as u have to sit there like a retard trying to lock ur car haha.

and it happens on a hot day, not in the mornings but in the arvos wen the car is in the sun.
ive been told that the thionkgy that makes the blinker blink is work on contactor thing that works on heat or whatever,

anyways it wud be great if sime one else has had this problem, might go see the holden dude at the parts store, or the auto sparky

Sounds like the BCM mate. When replacing the BCM you will need to take it to Holden so that the security link can be reestablished. With the PCM/BCM/KEY. This style of VATS started from the VTs. (Were the PCM got involved)
    BCM are not cheap.

You could get a second hand BCM that is the same level as the old one (LOW/MID/HIGH). To make life easier have the VIN number of the second hand BCM. and Holden will code you a new key for the BCM.
    Will be cheaper.

I would presume that it would just be a relay in the BCM that would need replacing (connectors being stuck). Replacing the whole bcm seems a bit of overkill if that is the case (not sure, but I'd expect it to be the case).

I don’t think it’s a relay it will be some sort of transistor in the BCM that will turn on a external relay.

Yeah, that's possible too. In a way, it's even easier to fix as it's easier to remove a transistor than a relay. If you know what pin on the connector goes to the indicator, trace it backwards and see what components are involved.

Have a look at this thread, and possibly send pezouni a pm.
