Hoping you can help with this re my Executive.

Okay, I unlock the car using the remote on the key, get in, start the car no problem. Stop the car, turn off the ignition but don't get out (passengers may). Then I try to start the car again, the engine starts for a second then dies. If I try turning the key again the engine kicks over but simply refuses to fire.

The strange thing is that if I then open the driver's door, then close it and then turn the key the engine will start no problems.

I'm wondering if there's an issue with some security feature or if this is a sign that the battery's on the way out.

Any ideas?
