It's probably old news, but maybe it'll help someone out..
Just finished installing all this in our VZ, with really good results - everything works.
Stuff:
PAC SWI-JACK - (Ebay ~ $110.00)
Kenwood KDC-BT7043U - (Autobahn ~ $299)
Fascia - (Autobahn ~ $59)
Euro Antenna adapter AP349 - (Autobahn ~ $15)
ISO harness to Kenwood APP8KE1 - (Autobahn ~ $23)
Total cost - $506
The PAC SWI-JACK was easy to install, 4 wires total. Easy to program also - all buttons work on our steering wheel controls. We also haven't lost any of the functions in the setup menu AFAIK, everything seems to be there that was before the install!
Reason for stereo choice was Bluetooth and Ipod control - much happier paying $500 odd than forking out for the factory bluetooth $300? (can't remember) and the $350~$400 for the Ipod intergration into the factory unit. Just couldn't justify that extra couple of hundred $$, and you might be able to get better prices than me on a few of the above things if you hunt around.
Anyway that's it, just wanted share
PS, thanks to the 'forum' as well. Many of the posts here helped with the install / deciding what to buy.

Thanks for the write up, I've been wanting to do something like this to my VY, thanks for putting it all in the one spot. I haven't heard of the pac swi-jack, looks like a neat bit of gear. I feel the same as you, why bother with the factory head unit it has no features or power.
