changeing interior light

hey all just thinking of changeing my interior light on my vz to led ones (blue) has anyone of u done that and if so tell me how to change it

if you have bought correct led bulb set is plug and play just pop cover by little flat blade on side for roof center mount light or undo two screws under sunglasses holder for calais etc and the pop out .
these kits are supposed to use same amps as normal bulb if not less (ok) and just plug right in!~

Can buy them from autobarn if you mean the vanity lights.as for the dash can't do them yourself but I can pm if any interest.

well i havent got it yet i went to autobarn and i had a look and its a square 1 so do i need diff wires + im a chick and i dont no nothing abouts cars he he

yes.. even the sqaure one should still have "festoon" + and- connections on two opposite sides and clips straight in, ebay stocks many of these bulbs farely cheaply (minus postage);(

I have, ive changed over the entire interior light to led's.
The front centre light housing users T4W/BA9s bulbs, ive gotta spare led set if you want it? The colour of the led is white.

I think in pg 5 of my ride thread ive listed the types of all the bulbs.

pop out the old light globe (watch out if its been on it will be HOT!) take it along with you and get one that the metal thingy's line up the same then put new one in. what no one has mentioned yet is that the LED lights only work when put in one way. if it doesn't work the first time u put it in don't panick just turn it around. And Phreddy and torquative are resident geniuses at this stuff.

Firstly, do u know how to get the housing out? Once u have, you can access the bulbs. There a bayonet type (there two dimples one on each side at the bottom of the bulb)

To get them out push down gently, then turn & they will come out.

the problem with Autobarn/Ebay LED's in the roof console is their ineffective because the beam doesnt direct the light properly. Paul you have to admit with your LED's in a standard halogen globe is still brighter.

Then again if your flicking it over to blue then I suppose light effectiveness isnt really going to affect you that much, your more after the cool glow of the LED.

Phreddy is in development mode (as always) to build a proper plug and play roof LED that will be effective, but that'll be a while off.
