hey guys
the past couple of day i have had a really bad shudder in the rear of my vz sv6 6sp manual . It only does it in 1st gear under hard acceleration. It fells like wheel tramp but im not loosing traction at all. I jacked it up 2 day and all the bushes are fine, tramp rods are fine, and the cv's are all good...
not sure what it is but has any one else had this problem..any help would be great
thanks 1FATSV
maybe look at getting the diff oil changed.
Have u checked the springs & shocks?
The Blue One
may sound stupid...but clutch slipping??..or i'd be having a closer look at the diff

youve been floggin it havent ya, lol
check rubber tailshaft to diff coupling...
only replace with genuine, generics will last a week
yeah i had this problem, was exactly what mentioned above (he got me the replacement) Jack the car up and check it out, known as a tailshaft coupling, first one was a Bursons version, lasted less then a week, got a 2nd hand replacement from the wreckers, GOOD TO GO!
Life starts at 200km/h
I took it my local performance shop today and put it on the car hoist, the rubber tailshaft to diff coupling is fine but the tail shaft bearing is a bit loose than it should be.
Im not to sure what i should do at this time, so how much would it set me back to get a new drive line as i can't just change the bearing.

I had the same problem with my Vq Caprice and it was the centre bearing if you have one hope this helps
I've had a few issues with my diff since I wacked it in.
Check all the wheel axle bolts that go around the diff, and check the final connection rubber (whatever it's called) before the diff. Mine's had vibration above a certain speed recently..... one of the bolts on the final rubber that connects the diff wasn't tight and thats all it was.

their is two rubber bearings in the tail shaft that crack wit abit of abuse their bout $220 each i think and their at the end and start of tailshaft from memory and will cause u to hav a shudder feeling through the car under acceration due to flex in them puting the tailsheft out of balance
I had a similar thing in the crewman, it's is auto, only really happened when i was going really slow. Turned out to be the diff not locking properly.
hey guys...got it fixed the other week, and it was the rubber coupling from the gearbox to the driveline had hair line cracks that where splitting open under hard accelaration..They put it on there dyno and put a little video camera under the car just behind the rubber coupling and u could actually watch the rubber expand and flop around then but as soon as u backed off it looked fine...
thats axle tramp that causes the rubbers to stuff upMy ute does the same, but it breaks traction and the wheels shudder under load as they get grip. Pretty sure its normal.
G’day – I have a 2005 VZ Crewman Storm, 45,000km and been well cared for (I recently purchased 2nd hand).
I have a problem regarding a “backlash” come “rattle” type noise that happens when changing between gears 1-3. It’s a 6spd.
It ONLY happens once the car warms up, for the first 10-15min or so it’s perfect…. no noise at all. The warmer it gets, the worse it gets.
I’ve had the diff replaced under warranty – made no difference.
Any suggestions?
