    Default rust prevention help!!!

i finally removed my spoiler love how it looks now, and i just put some small black bolts in the holes and i kinda like how it looks lol

although because inside the the holes wernt protected, rust may become a problem when it gets wet..yeh?

is there anyway to prevent this other than pacthing it, grinding and repainting?

    thx

    hey man,
I lowered my vz yesterday (ultras in back, supers in front) and took the spoiler off as well.
considered getting the holes welded up also, but instead i went to a few auto supply stores and ended up at autobarn. You can buy little rubber grommets to fill the holes (about $4 a packet). You'll notice the large hole doesnt quiiiite fit the grommet coz the hole is slightly blocked, so i attacked the grommet a bit with a razor and then filled the back with marine grade silicone (from the underside of the boot lid, unscrew the rubber stopper and youll be able to see through to the large hole, i managed to get to it with some silicone on an ear bud).
it says it needs 7 days to FULLEY set, but its been 48 hours and i took it to the car wash and washed with the high pressure hose.. no leaks

    no worries.
its silver so i dont much like the black grommets but i might try paint them over the weekend.
i recon she sits not toooo bad, gotta settle a bit so itll be slightly lower. im thinking of putting the hsvi supersports 20" in the front and keeping the interceptors at the back, i recon thatll make it appear a bit lower, but it still tucks a fair bit of tyre at the back. i should upload some photos.
yeah only cost me $320 all up for springs and shorter shocks at the back, fitted them myself

went with the 18's also, in my opinion it looks way nicer. you want to actually see some Tyre. 20's is a hell of a bumpy ride and the tires will need to be changed a lot more frequently as well ($$). don't regret it. just an opinion.

yeh thats what swayed me more to the 18's because of the comfort and tyre. i think it could be the rims i have Daat D68, it looks like theres too much happening and if it were 20s would open it up make it look bit more proportional. but stil happy with mine better than the stock one any ways

sorry mate only just saw your post on my homepage thing, im hopeless keeping track of stuff on there, but to answer your question i have no regrets with lowering it, as far as i'm concered it looks hot shit haha.
i would be happier with 20's on the front and keeping the stockies on the back, i recon it would balance it a bit better. im aware i would sacrifice some ride quality but its the look i'm after. its not low enough until youre tucking rim, in my opinion haha.
but to each their own, as they say.
