Hi
I have a vz crewman which seems like a pos at the moment, i spent the day today tracking down a second hand injector thinking this was the problem only to discover it wasnt, I have now discovered that the injector number 6 is not receiving the electrical earth it needs to operate which i have tracked back to a box which i am thinking is the ECM at the front of the engine? From what i have read is the only option to fix this problem is getting it replaced by holden for 1000 or soalso the check powertrain light is on which i thought might be to do with the same problem...
I also have the indicators sticking on when using the key to lock or unlock it which i was told by holden i had to pay 600 bucks to get it fixed, i have just been manually locking and unlocking it as the indicators dont go on then.
Any new help or other peoples experience on getting the problem fixed would be greatley appreciated thanks
hi mate, prepared to spend a grand i just did on a new ECM as i got same problem, both Holden and Amcap had plenty in stock each so goes to show its not a strange problem.
thanks buddy, i went and seen holden today and they said the same thing so i guess i will just have to part with the grand. There seems to be a lot of people having the same trouble, they should have recalled it or smethin!
go to holden pending what they going to slug you $$$$, but my mechanic informed my car going to Holden due to diagnostic programming blahh blahh blahh wasnt simple plug and play and after market diagnostics can only set it up so much.Holden wanted 1200 for the ecm and i got it for 800 straight from parts supllier.
guess they wont recall them because its outside the warranty period and like a lot of things make em only to last long enough.
