Default Dead Spot in throttol response

Hi everyone, im just wondering what people think of their VZ throttle response preferably not the 190 owners because mine seem to need a fair bit of throttle on take off, its a 05 VZ Berlian V6 Sedan

    Thanks
    Greg

its mostly caused by the torque management built into the computer, and its a pain in the arse...

some of the lag can be tuned out by hacking into the computer and you can make a satisfying improvement by moving the potentiometer cover on the side of the accellerator pedal

It is the torque management mate. A VCM tune will take care of it but i will admit the throttle is very touchy once the Torque management has been removed. I find it quite hard to take off in the rain even with the LSD in my SV6 lol.

It feels like the throttle is set up so that the engine ill give a bit of tourque down low and as it goes through the rev range, the power drops. I take my foot off briefly to reset the ecu and put it back on to get power at the higher revs. It works something like that.

I just got the VZ Berlina and after having a VT Berlina, there's just a big difference in the way the throttle works. you can tell it's more about getting the right torque, not necessarily revving as much as the VT. You can spend all day below 2000 rpm with the VZ.
The earlier engine's throttle seemed to be more direct and jumpy from low down, but I prefer the way the VZ goes about it and the mid-high end is a lot better.

If you're used to an earlier V6, it definitely takes a while to get used to the sound and revs of the VZ Alloytec. It actually sounds more like I remember the Ford 6 sounds and seems more like I'd imagine a diesel sounds like - mainly lower revs than the Ecotec.
    now : 05 VZ Berlina V6
    had : 97 VT Berlina V6
    before : 81 VH SL/E I6
