    Post VZ Sedan Boot Struts

    Hi Everyone,
My VZ's boot struts haven't worked properly since new but recently given in and just falling on my head each time I put something in my boot. I went and had it looked and and was told that it would be around about $80 per strut or I could take it to Pedders and see if they could regas them. Would that work? Also when it is fixed will the boot lift up by it's self when I press the boot release button? Since they have never been right I have no Idea!
    Thanks.

New struts just lighten the load when opening the lid, and keep it up. They won't enable the lid to open by itself.

You haven't said if you boot has a spoiler or not, but still $80 per strut is a ****in rip off!
Don't by things like this from Holden, it's just not worth the cost, you could get a pair off ebay for half that price.

We can do boot gas struts for $49 each, for either std, or with spoiler.

Yeah I have a spoiler, Which probaly decreased the life of them but (The guy from Repco told me the best he could do is $80 per part and said it is unusuall for them to already be worn out even with a spoiler.) But he also insisted that I take it to pedders and get them to have a look so I am off to Pedders tomorrow.
