Hi everyone, i noticed a while back that my 05 VZ Berlina blows hot air when the climate control is off, and i have no idea why... my mate has just bought a VZ Clubby and his does the same thing, any ideas?
Thanks
Greg
I should point out that its only when im driving, so i am thinking it is just a valve not shutting completely but i don't really know where to look
Could the heater tap in the engine compartment be stuck open? Or no vacuum going to it? No vacuum would mean it stays in the open position.
You could test by putting the temp on H then on C - the tap should close for C. If it doesn't, take the vac hose off the heater tap while running - see if there is vacuum there.
Even then, the mixer flap in the cabin should close shouldn't it? Maybe that. Or the vacuum solenoid pack.
And see my rant here

now : 05 VZ Berlina V6
had : 97 VT Berlina V6
before : 81 VH SL/E I6
oh well it shouldn't be the heater tap because that was just replaced, and the hot air stops it the fans are turned on so its a bit strange but its really starting to annoy me :P, so im thinking the mixer flap is probably the issue
