Default Anyone with an OBDII Scan tool in Perth?

    Howdy Pertharians,

My 06 VZ SVZ has spat out an error code for Check Powertrain, I'm assuming its the oxygen sensor, but North City want to charge me $130 just for the privelege of checking.

I can get a scanner for aroundf $50 online, but thought I might throw it out to anyone here that has one if they can spare 20 minutes over the weekend and I'l pop around and we can plug it in, just to confirm its the oxygen sensor.

If anyone has one, can you please contact me via PM. Cheers.

Wrong section mate, the WA Chapter is for cruise related threads only.

    Hey,

I'm in Perth and have a OBDII cable that plugs straight into my PC. Apparently you can use some software to read error codes, but I haven't had any errors since I bought it. You are welcome to be a test dummy but I can't guarantee it will work!

Unfortunately the cheapest I could find was $75 at Automasters, thought buying a unit for $100 was a better alternative.

Dang, just after I bought mine! I've purchased one now, but if it doesn't work, I'll send you a PM and see if we can catchup. Thanks :-)
