Default Piston slap or stuck lifter(s)

I have this ticking noise in my LS1 that does not go away I`ve learnt piston slap only lasts mostly from warm to operating temp because of the various expanding rates of all the materials used, mine stays like it all the time has anyone had piston slap that did not go away? mods<sorry for the triple post, just covering all LS1 equiped models.

First of all, let me say, welcome to the forum. Yes, i know the confused look on your face, you've been here for a while, but you still couldn't figure out the most basic of rules (so clearly your just got here)

DONT cross post. One thread is fine.
Post in the right section. Theres an LSx specific forum for exactly this type of question.

If in doubt, read the rules, and read the descriptions at the bottom of each forum to find the most relevant forum (although it seems you already knew this since you said sorry)

Yes thanks steathy as I love been in this forum for your entertainment, the problem with the LSX forum is not many people use it (4, omg 4 viewing it as I write this) and I would really like some broad cross section of answers from LS1 owners. mods can (and no doubt will) close them.

Keep in mind most people view the forum by latest posts, so it would show up there, even if they dont check the actual section.

Theres no point dragging this out, was just pointing out to you that its against the rules, and theres a better way to get the answers you need.

Mines a little noisy on start up and at idle, but goes away as soon as you give it some revs. Mine was almost silent until I changed the oil to a different weight and brand (Penrite HPR10)...
Ive had holden and a few other mechanics look at it and they all think its normal, they have heard them much louder than mine...
Ive even listened to other ls1s, while some sound quieter than mine others were louder too...
If it goes away as soon as you build up some oil pressure, I wouldn't worry...

no mines constant, never goes away, it seems more on the drivers side, I first thought the headers were leaking at the mid flang where the two halves meet on my pacies (drivers side) but its the acoustics of the engine noise going down the headers.
