HSV Airbox

I managed to score a vy clubsport airbox off my brother today because he changed his setup to an OTR, but anyways. Will this be a direct replacement for the current one i have in my 2005 SV6 and also, will it make much difference in terms of power/noise

I changed my VZ SS standard airbox to a VY Series 2 HSV airbox )the one with the large shute into the guard). It also had the 90mm capped off section at the front. I removed it and put the VZ snorkel up to the standard spot in the radiator shroud. So yes, it is a straight fit. It seems to have made an effect both on performance and slightly better fuel economy.
