Every now and again, like once per week, I start my car and it dies straight away. Then I go to start it again and it cranks for about 5 seconds before starting. Not a major problem, but its starting to give me the shits. Any ideas on the problem would be great.
Have you checked your Starter Motor and Coils? You could have a screwed Starter or not getting any charge from the coils/
it will be the imobiliser kicking in, its because the contact on the ingnition barrell slowly wears and gets dirty after a while, and on occasions the key wont contact this when you crank it, thus nit shutting the imobilser off, you will notice the security light is flashing on the dash at the same time,
mine does it on occasions
