Got home today to find my coolant peeing out of the side of my radiator. I'm not too sure of how to describe the section of the radiator but it's the long rectangular part that sits on the left hand side that has some high pressure steel pipes coming out if it.
Anyway, at the top of the section there is a little black plastic screw plug. The head of the screw has broken off some how and the fluid is coming out of the there.
Questions:
1. Any ideas on what this radiator section is called and what this screw plug is called.
2. The coolant had a very light red colour to it. Is this normal?
Thanks.
i would say its leaking from one of the side tanks, best bet would be to take it somewhere and get them to tell you exactly what the problem is
and yes the coolant should be light red/orange in colour, thats what holden use, most companies now use the orange stuff instead of the green most of us are use to
