Default VZ interior lights not working???

    hey people.
i just bought a VZ acclaim wagon today. not realising till tonight that the interior lights are not working. it has the sunglasses holder at front and the two in the hand rails in rear. none are working at all. everything else lights up fine, even the glove box.

globes are fine, i checked fuse and was fine, relay seemed fine. has 12v at fuse but nothing at plug behind sunglass holder.

any ideas? the interior illumination relay felt warm. i swapped it with another of the same but nothing.

Have you check all connections going to each light housing.

The 3 way switch at the front of the main light asm, is that switch on or in the middle position?
Or you might have a wire touching metal where its shorted out.

ive only checked at the main centre light. there is no power at the plug behind it. but there is power at the fuse box under dash, the glove box light still works. the switch does nothing as ther is no power. the light around the ignition isnt working either but i checked and it has power there so its just a dud globe.

as the fuse is still intact i cant see there being a short

check the connection at the drivers pillar. there is a plug there which connects the roof wiring to the body wiring. i think its going to be a case of tracing the wires and checking for power. a wiring loom location diagram would come in handy here.
