Default VZ dash fog light warning light

Hi guys

We finally got our Adventra Saturday last week.

On Saturday night we went for a drive and it was the first time we turned the fog lights on since driving out of the dealership.

I noticed theres no warning light on the dash when the fog lights are on?

Now ... the car is the SX6 (base model) which doesnt have the fog lights as standard, but it does have the brackets there with the wiring, so the car is setup for the fog lights right from the word go.

The lights were installed as a pre delivery HBD option by Holden.

My question : should the dash have a 'fog light on' icon like the SV6/SS has, or is this right, it doesnt have that icon on the dash?

Also the switch Holden installed is black? I dont think this is right, is it? The dash is the "alloy" colour, same as the SV6 dash, and I thought they would have installed the same coloured switch thats found in our SV6. Can someone tell me if this is right, because black doesnt look right

Thanks guys for any help!

As factory installed, the fog light switch is incorporated into the headlight on/off switch. If this is what you got then yes there should be a brigh green light on in the bottom right of the instrument cluster. If you have a separate switch, then there is a likleyhood you may not get the indicator light come on.

Not too sure how to get it to work either sorry. Your best bet is to go and ask the dealer ytou bought it from.

Question

In my view you are better off without it. On my SV6 it is much brighter than the other indicators and you can't dim it. For long night trips in the country, it could become quite a pain.
