Just wondering what sort of fuel your sv6 eats up. my avg is about 26l/100k and it sits on 16.2l/100k
Thats driving around town but not putting pedal down at all just taking it nice and easy. Is this normal for around town. what fuel economy do use get out of your sv6
thanks
That's Definately Not normal Unless you are Pushing Pedal too hard all the time ..
I've got 2005 sv6 190kw , Which goes to a max of 13-14l/100 if I'm doing too many city rounds
But If I go just the freeway it comes back to 8-9 So Overall I get around 10l/100km Which I think is pretty good for V6
Thats really high. i do no freeway driving and mines at about 13l/100km and i just got my car so im not really driving it like a grandma
I've heard replacing the oxygen sensor can improve efficiency by a fair bit, mine was changed 2 weeks before i bought my car
oxygen sensor? is that the MAF sensor or something else
yeah, thats pretty high, i used to ave around 12/100 city and around the 7 mark freeway
Chev badges are an instant fail
as to what your problem is i dunno, but that is like thrashing a v8 around kind of economy, if im just around suburbia im probly around the 12 mark give or take 0.5, but anyway freeway mix and it drops down a fair way, pure freeway would probly get you like 8, ive had it as low as 7.3 on highway driving, but a mix should be around 10-11.
I agree you are either thrashing it around city or you have a fault somewhere. Ive got a vz calais 190kw and i average 12.4 and that is with putting foot down here and there...
Driving it like a granny so there is def something wrong with her. Oxygen sensors, how many on the 04 vz. Is there any way to test them
yep, take it to your mech, there will either be 4 or 2 of them
Chev badges are an instant fail
located two of them at the front on either side of the engine. Raced all over town trying to find some. Holden gen was the cheapest. at $150.00 each. Every where else was around 250.00 each and none in stock. Anyone know of a shop online you can buy ones off.
