random cable?

hey, was trying to figure out where to connect a remote wire for my amps using the stock headunit, so not sure where to connect it, but anyways, on the passenger side there is a black cable with no end, i spliced it open and it had a red and black cable inside, what is it? is it used for a mobile kit? can i use it for a remote wire for my amp?

the mobile phone plug is just to the left of the stereo, but it has a plug top on it.. not sure which wires you found buddy but i'd probably leave them alone, why not run a wire from a known 12v constant source through a toggle switch then to your remote? that way you can turn it off or on with a switch?
