hey i only just got an sv6 with the 5 speed auto, and thought id test the 60-80km pickup, so i put the foot to the floor, kicks into 1st, changes to second, then when i get to 80-90km, i take my foot off the throttle and its still in 2nd. any ideas? mind you i have power on when i do this. does power keep it in gear for this long of a period, like it feels like its stuck, so i press the active select button and press it again to engage and disengage it again and it goes back to normal.
if you have power mode on the computer will hold the car in gear after rapid heavy acceleration. It thinks you're on a racetrack and wants to give you good pickup out of the corner! :-)
oh sweet thanks for that, ive been freaking out about it for the last couple of days lol. thanks for clearing it up hey

Yep this is perfectly normal and even better it works great when driving hard though some twistys. It holds the gears for great acceleration out of the corners. In normal shift mode it will not drop back to first from 60 and will not hold the gear if you give it a hit which is great for everyday driving.
