I thinking of going down a doing a few drags with my mates, all legal of course
Just wondering whats the best way to do it an a auto sv6. Everyone tells me a different thing.
Some say leave it in auto, other say us the paddle shift gears but shift at like 4000rpm, others say shift at 6500.
And whats the best way to get it off the line, do i build the revs to about 2500 and hold down the brake then let go once it turns green.
Firstly, leave it in D for drag, put it in the excellent PWR mode the 5A has. Just experiment, some say stalling up in the alloytec brings intervention from the anti-abuse, which will slow you down. Try a few different things, stall it up, try just holding it flat when the light goes green (which can also bring intervention from anti abuse), and try taking off at 3/4 throttle and then going flat after you get going, and just see what's quicker for your car mate, you'll soon work it out.
Thanks mate, so its a no go on the auto select gears
No mate it will never get you more speed or better times manually shifting auto gears. The auto box runs through the computer and when your going flat out it will change the the best time to hit straight back into the torque curve of the next gear.

agreed with what people have said.
i took mine to whyalla 1/8th mile, and i ran quicker times all day using d instead of the paddles
stall it up until you can feel it start to pull and leave it there, then as the last yellow goes out go
Chev badges are an instant fail
d for drag
tc OFF
i stall it up to 2200 and then mash the throttle the spilt second before taking the brake off...
