Default VZ (Adventra) Specialist in Sydney

    Hi All,

A year and a half later, I am still getting NOWHERE with MCGRATHS at Sutherland (yes, it is time to name them) with my Adventra, still under warranty, where I get constant vibration when cruising (around 60Kph) through the drivetrain AND I cant go over 100KPH 90% of the time because I get a reverberation through the car (just like running over those white line bumps on the side of freeways). I am been fighting them all this time and they state there is NOTHING wrong. Of course there is nothgin wrong going around the block. They wont even test it on the freeway where it will occur regularly.

I have been at them so much, nothing will happen, although each time I have had an issue, I have proven there was actually a problem (although one problem took 3 years for them to finally agree there was an issue).

Yes, I did post the issue in the forum back in March last year. I got a few suggestions (like change rims and tyres) but I tried to no avail. That was at 70000KM.. It is up to 88000KM.

i even recorded the noise, which they dismissed as road noise. although you can distinctly hear the problem over and above the road noise..

When the whole car reverberates, you feel a slight deacceleration and if on cruise control, the revs increase to keep the speed up. Doesnt matter if you change road surfaces, the noise is still there. You cant accelerate through it, but if you back off down to 70KPH it goes away. Accelerating again, 99% of the time, it wont happen again for a few more minutes. it is worse with a head wind where there is more load on the engine

Anyway, i am after some feedback from you guys that know of a specialist for the VZ so i can take it to them and hopefully get the fault fixed, then sue the dealership.

Any help greatly appreciated as I am at my wits end. Ive had the car 5 years (problems all those years) and I hate the car (unfortunately, cant afford to change it at the moment).

    Thanks,
    Rob

If you are a member then go to whatever your state motoring club is (NRMA, RACV, RACQ etc) get them to perform a mechanical and report on it. If your dealer still refuses to cooperate then seek legal advice.

Benboy.. Thanks for the reply... The legal side of things is happening as we type as they are refusing to go any further with it (I am sure if it was out of warranty, they would be knocking at my door to get it fixed). As to the State motoring club (NRMA in my case) I doubt they would even know what a car is, from past experience with them. Thats why I want to go to a specialist.

    Thanks again,
    Rob
