VZ Trans HELP!!

Daughter has a VZ alloytec commy that has developed a shudder/miss during acclereation and sometimes when just cruising and the car need a little more power on cruise for a hill etc. She has found that if she drives it thru the trans shifter,[manually] it doesn't do it.. We have had it on a scantool and there was nothing out of the ordinary, they suggested a set if plugs and a fuel filter, another place had similar probs but found a broken fibre optic cable in the computer. But it sounds like a tranny prob. Has enyone had any experience with a VZ like this? Help needed

sounds like an ECU problem if it goes away when shifting manually.

Got a similar problem that others might be able to help with, sorry to bomb your thread..
My vz sv6 5sp auto shudders when accelerating, similar to above, mainly in higher gears, push harder and it will change down and is fine.
But here is the strange bit, use the active select and hold it in gears 3-5 and it will do it constantley, 5th being the worst and it's horrible..

Any ideas?

First thoughts was gear box, but could it be something to do with the throttle??
Am going to drain the Auto oil and change the filter (Yeah I've read the thread and understand it's a K%$T of a job)... To see if that helps.,
