My car's just ticked over 100 000km, and almost as soon as that happened, I've developed a squeaky clutch when releasing it.
It is quite noticeable when Reversing and holding friction point.
I'm of the belief it could have something to do with the Clutch plates wearing out or having shifted slightly.
Anyone else had this, and what can I do to stop this? (Worse case scenario- replace whole clutch assembly??)
My 06 sv6 does that aswell, only if let the clutch out fairly quickly while going and sometimes at low speed. Might be time for a new clutch.
Just spray wd40 or another penetrating fluid up into the clutch pedal arm. Make sure there is cardboard or something else layed down on the carpet to avoid stains. Its not the actual clutch or clutch face, just the lever gets creaky after a while. Mine had the same problem. The brake pedal is starting to do the same.
i dont know about the_trademarc
When i say clutch i mean the clutch not the clutch pedal that squeks.
almost like a noisy drive belt.
