if you try to overfill the reservoir it will spill the excess out.

Are you sure your not trying to overfill it? That damn level check thing can be a pain to read.

I had an brief overheat when I turned on the air con, but that was 3 days ago, now everytime I turn on the air con I dont get an overheat.

Would anyone know what happened then? It wasn't an a real hot day if that helps.....

    Coolant change

there is a 4 pg document in this thread regarding a flush, this will help you refill both the reservoir and the main radiator tanks then check if you still have a leak. and where it may be coming from.

    hope it helps.

also, depending on where the leak is, it may only leak when the engine gets hot enough to squirt the water out under pressure.

i had a very small leak from the bleed valve that i didnt know about until I had a full boilover one day.

mate, ive got an 05 vz ssz and when i first bought it i did a coolant change, i had the same problem using the top up hole...... i was puring straight coolant onto the ground. pull your radiator cover off (you only need a flathead screwdriver and its about 5 of those pop head screws) its so much easier. just use the real radiator cap, its so much easier.
