G'day all,
i have a vz v6 manual ute and im wanting to do a transmission and diff oil change...i found a workshop manual but its a bit confusing with the way they put their specifications...i was just wondering if its 75w-90 oil in both the gearbox and the diff or if it's something else..according to the book it also says up to 2 litres capacity for the gearbox and 0.7 litres for the diff...is this right? what oils do you guys recommend? and what is the correct capacity?
cheers guys
definately use 75w-140 for the diff gearbox would be 75w-90 Transmax Z the prefered choice.
yea, i've started to hear different things though...for the box im pretty confident its 75w-90, but im not so sure i've got an lsd diff, if not, it still has the tag on it that says high performance use approved lubricant only..or something like that...the compliance plate says gt9 for the axle, if that means anything...but i've heard of using ls80, ls90, ls 140...theres a big difference between an 80 and a 140, so i might just put in the whole range of a 75w-140 haha...do you know if the base model ute is a limited slip diff or not?
