Smile OTR Intake and MAFless tuning for SV6?

hey guys, been reading through some threads on OTR intakes and MAFless tuning, and have only found that there is not much happening on this area? does anyone know of any that are available and if a MAFless tune is available for the 5 speed? i have seen one on ebay but it looks wierd.

i also saw on the ss inductions website the bigmouth induction for the gen 3 engine, which has a scoop at the front of the bonnet, would this fit the SV6? and has anyone has experience with the bigmouth as i can only find info on the growler kit.

Lastly, how good are the Mace manifold insulators? pondering either that or a K&N filter, seeing how they are roughly the same price.

    cheers in advance.

    Richard

mace insulators are good, i had them on my old sv6, just lets it breathe and rev a bit better, as for an otr, don't waste you time and you can't go mafless on the autos, seems to throw codes apparently

by sv6 im guessing you mean the alloytec motor, do the 2 hole mod with the k&n filter, then get the mace spacer, maybe exhuast if ya wanna go that far and a tune to finish it off, or you could even look into the MACE CAI i have one on my ute and highly recommend them

    good luck mate

yea i will eventually get the VCM tune.

im thinking i will get mods done in this order

    2 hole mod - done
k&n filter - bought one today, just gotta fit it
mace manifold insulator - within the next month
full exhaust inc. cats - 6 months or so
VCM tune - 1 year (that way i get the most out of the mods)

what do you guys think think of this plan?

sounds good mate, always best to have the tune last to top it all off, however when ever i start modifying a car i always do full exhuast first, that way any intake mods ect you get more out of them with the exhuast

yea i would do the exhaust first but it cost so much to get a full exhaust done. im thinking twin 2 1/4" to single 3. any other oppinions? dont want much drone, just a nice deep note.

not sure on the right setup but a quite exhuast is best for the alloytecs as they sound tinny and like a 4 cyclinder
