Go for a hayman Reese towbar, if ur trailer has an electric brake system on it get the controller put on it.
Have a look at the hayman Reese and pedders websites, they have a bit of info on them.
Just make sure you know the weight of what you are towing (including weight of when it is fully loaded) just to be safe rather than sorry!

To answer the actual question, there is no difference between the clubsport and standard towbars. Yes, you will have to cut the bumper.

There are three different rated towbars for Commodores. 1200kg, 1600kg and 2100kg. They are different prices. As you have a sedan you will probably also need bracing in the boot - to help the body support extra weight in/of trailer etc. Go to a towbar specialist. heapos around, cheaper than Holden parts and built to a standard.

Get a Reece hitch fitted like on the Holden Adventra Wagons. Yes you will have to cut the bumper, but if done neatly, and I mean by some one with attention to detail, when they are finished , you can remove the pin, remove the section containing the tow ball, and use the piece you cut out to mount back in and cover the square box section that's attached to the car.
It one decent cosmetic thing that GM thought of when mastering the Adventra. If you see one from the rear you will see the panel I'm taking about, it clips on and off , and looks neat and tidy.
