Hey boys,
Recently I've brought a new headunit (Pioneer), I havn't chucked it in yet but as soon as I brought it the speakers have started to produce a buzzing noise and don't produce any sound except the buzzing. I've removed the stock stereo (Blaupunkt) Double din, and checked the connector wiring and it's all fine, my only question is, while checking the three plugs that connect into the back of the headunit there was a white plug which was coming out of the sheathing which leads to the 3 plugs into the back of the stereo. Would this have anything to do with it? The plug had a lug and speaker wire (yellow black) which wasn't connected, it look like they've come loose, but there is no-where to plug this connector into? If you're unsure what I'm talking about, this plug is right near where holden have earthed the stock stereo.
Sorry if this made no sense!
Thanks, Ryley.
mine does the same thing, my advice dont do what i done and say whocares. my 2 6 x 9s are now making this loud shit noise, that noise stuffed them up and they wernt cheap at all man !
Check the earth ground is good. A bad earth can cause that buzzing.
Will be checking this arvo' mate! I'll post and see if anything fixs, I think I'm getting crosstalk thought, the plugs are definately connected to the back of the HU but it keeps cutting power to itself, may be a power cable running too close to something else.
I found my problem, the earth/power for the mobile connector (behind the stock head unit) wern't taped and were making contact to earth, this shorted out my system and blew the fuses. I taped them up, tryed it again, and they all work. I've put my new headunit in now, and the speakers work perfectly.
