Default Ash Tray in a VZ SV6.

As the title says, "Ash Tray in a VZ SV6"; does anyone know if their are genuine parts or any after market parts that look decent?

I would usually ditch my ciggies out the window, or put them in an old smoke packet, but I don't want to keep an old smoke packet in the car, and I recently got done for " Loitering " for ditching a ciggie out the window (sparks flew all over the undercover car, LOL".

    Cheers guys.

not sure about genuine, you can always keep a permanent coke bottle with a bit of water down the bottom of it in a cup holder haha, can really stink though..haha loitering...are you sure it wasn't littering..isn't loitering like where you hang around and seem like a threat or intimidation to someone else in a particular area..eg, a gang of ferel kids out the front of a shop looking suspicious (they could be completely harmless and innocent) isn't that what loitering is? haha

    cheers mate

LOL, my computer automatically spell changed littering! My bad, lol.

Yeah I've tried many methods, coke can does smell heaps.

I don't really want one that clips onto the air vents either, that's the stupidest/ugliest invention ever!

You seem to know alot about 'loitering' mate!

i live right next door to macquarie fields what do ya expect hahahaha...you being in WA by the looks of it, you probs won't know much or anything about macquarie fields...quick run down on where it is..Earth,southern hemisphere, australia, nsw, sydney, campbelltown, macquarie fields...there was a riot there in 2005 i think it was? or was that cronulla..ahh well, here's some video footage

    YouTube - Mac Fields Riots

yeppp, their my next door neighbours haha, and you are seeing correctly..they are throwing molotov cocktails at the police, and yes they did just walk up to the police and push a trolley into them...and as you can obviously see in there, that ferel walked right up and threw a wheelie bin at the cops, that copper got a broken leg from that i believe.

i could go ask some 12 year olds from mac fields what they do with their cigs once they realised they being chased in a stolen car haha:P

hahaahah does it seem as bad as macquarie fields? oh btw...with my example of loitering and the gang of ferel kids lookin suspicious even though they could be harmless..these mac field kids would always be up to something...if it's not planning how to steal a bike(like mine did) then it would be deciding who rolls the next person that walks past hahaha

Quit smoking, LOL! Or just keep ditching them out the window like I do, you'd be unlucky to be busted for it again wouldn't you?

if you get the ash tray you also need the front cover as their different. FYI that replaced the "flip down" compartment under the radio.

I dont smoke but I installed one on my car to make use of an un-used space - that 12 volt socket comes in handy!

    it is genuine Holden

92146373 for the ash tray assembly, 92146290 for the dark tempest (dash colour) cover for it.

With it closed it looks just like it does now, but obviously with it open it has the ash tray and cig lighter.

Will only be about $60 or thereabouts for the whole thing.

    Hi Guys,
I am looking at putting an ashtray in my 2007 VZ Crewman for the convienence of the lighter socket for GPS etc. Does anyone know how to remove the existing fold down cover and install the ashtray? Also, is there a plug already there to plug in for power for the lighter?

Cheers for your help. I already know there is one there and that does not answer my questions.

There is a plug for the genuine GM smokers pack, it's tucked in on the bottom right of where the ashtray goes and plugs straight in without any hassles.
You will need a fascia plate to go with the smokers pack which they sell separately.
I used this link to put her in.
You don't have to pull the floor console out, just the console trim.
To save a bit of stuffing around I also put a bluetooth mobile phone kit in, there is a factory fitted plug that integrates with the stereo tucked in at the left hand side of the floor console roughly where 'A' is in illustrations 1A3-11 on that link.

If its for the convenience of your gps why not run the cable under the center console and have it come out somewhere near where you would have your GPS. save yourself a bit of $$

As for installation of the smokers pack, you need to remove the dash plastic and undo the 2 screws that hold the existing bit in there then the other one screws in, in its place
