im not having much luck on the internets , finding anyone who sells the VZ V6 175 engine. Im almost certin mine is beyond repair. Its a 04' berlina wagon. well worth keeping it and just changing the engine.

i had an idea...WRECKERS..like i said in the other thread, working at holden, we had a vz thunder come in and it had spun a crankshaft bearing...the owner just said to put a new engine in...even though it was a 190 engine..it was from the wreckers and only had 66000 kays on it..try ring around place? maybe even see if you can get a whole salvage car, take the engine and sell it off...i doubt that'd be practical, but if worse comes to worse and it could be worth the effort and money, why not.

    cheers bud

Default need a motor this may help

look on ebay there some people with alloytecs for sale good luck
match the first 5 letters of engine number if isnt matched car might refuse start as in ecu sees wrong configuration especially going from 175 to a 190 alloytec even changing ecu wont help as 190 has more wires in loom .even 175 to 175 with different engine code probs may accour beware
example of engine code is 10HBA ( common type )
LOOK AT YOUR REGO PAPERS AT ENGINE NUMBER THESE LETTER ARE THE START OF ENGINE TYPE CODE OTHER codes may be 10hbb and others
this info has been passed on from proffessional secondhand hand motor suppliers
