    Default Can i have my VZ V6 175 kw engine changed for a same model type 190 kw engine

    Can i have my VZ V6 175 kw engine changed over to a same model type 190 kw engine, and have no "major" hurdles to jump? tranmission , could that be a issue?

    any ideas?...

    Why bother, if it runs fine as it is, then why go chasing 15kw?

    he may need to replace his engine...if he can get his hands on a 190kw instad of a 175, why not..

    Actually I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to this as well. I know a few of the early model Alloytec engines had timing chain stretching issues. It would make more sense instead of spending $1000+ to repair the timing chain to just drop a later model Alloytec straight in. Would later model Alloytecs pose issues on 4 speed transmissions, are they even compatible?

    depends on how cheap you can pick up a late model alloytec, you'd also have to change the ecu if you went the 190 motor and possibly have to do the trans to
    Chev badges are an instant fail
