V6 SVZ Wagon Vz

I recently bought a svz wagon from a holden dealership and i got warrenty with the car 3yrs/175km. When i asked can i take ot tomy own mechanic they said no i have to bring the car to them. Is this true cause i dont really trust holden servicing my car.

i don't see why you have to...places even tell you..midas/ultratune etc that just because you have a new car, doesn't mean you have to go back to the dealership...these are brand new cars, why would it be any different for a used car...i hate some of the shit holden say and do sometimes...i suppose that aslong as your own mechanic does the job right and knows what he's doing, then when something buggers up..you should be able to take it straight back to holden

its all about dealer warranty and servicing prices.. In the disclosure to your warranty it will have which authorised dealers and mechanics can touch the car.. You should also have a fixed servicing price too, pays to have a read throught the warranty book they should have given you..

Most cases if you miss a service or dont take it to them you lose your warranty completely.. read it and be careful i say
