Question Hissing/buzzing noise coming from engine

    Help!!!!

My car is making a hissing noise when on light throttle and stops when putting the foot down a little harder, it only does it when the engine has warmed up.
Iv been told it may be the purge hose, but it seems to be on there tight and not cracked or anything.

    Whats wrong???

sounds like a sound i had...
changed the thermostat and the sound went away...

something like the coolant was overflowing and the sound was air escaping from the overflow bottle...
only was i could explain it... so check your coolant levels

isn't it just a case of taking of the top radiator hose at the engine side, not sure how the thermostat's connected..but just replace it, radiator hose back on..top up the system if you have to and bleed it?

oh thats gay as...i swear that whoever designs holdens, engineers or whatever they're called just have a field day to make things as difficult as possible to work on haha...the different types of clips, the design is abit stupid some places....eg, having to take the plenum off just for spark plugs, stuff that, ahh well what can ya do

Tell me about it, i was told they got to take the transmission out to get to the thermostat...$800 Lol and the part is like what $25?...i rather have a shot at it than having to pay $800 hey u know while im at it why not just put a whole new engine...that would be nice...Oh my thermo is rooted yay i get to change another engine weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
