LSD question

hey guys,

got a VZ exec and im am completely clueless on all the mechanical terms (ratios) for diffs. Just wondering what i need to be looking for if im after a LSD for my car?

i know this much...
Tall diff = longer legs, higher top speed, less RPM at cruise, slower off the line.

Short diff = shorter legs, lower top speed, more RPM at cruise, quicker off the mark.

pretty much..i think our standard poverty packs have a 2.87:1?..its a tall differential, not sure abot the factory lsds, tey might be a 3.08:1 or something?, they're in between, average off the mark, reasonably good top speed, and average acceleration, i'd probably only go a 4.11:1 or something that high if i was racing or doing the 1/4 a fair bit.

i know that you can get LSD centres for 750 bucks, otherwise a completely new diff will set you back a fair bit more, double i think? i may be wrong

pretty much any mechanic should be able to fit up a differential, not sure on specific places, im sure other people on here could help you out.
