just got pair of weather shields for my sv6 from blacktown for $120 (i know buying from holden i shouldn't be surprised)
haven't fitted them yet to see what they'd look like but just wanted to see what you all thought
price is same same, you might get them slightly cheaper from Supercheap but there wouldn't be much in it.
IMHO I'm missing mine in summer! It is nice to leave the windows down a crack to let everything stay cool-ish and know if a storm brews just before lunch (and your blocks away from the car ...) you wont return to a wet bum! I was also having this discussion with a mate not that long ago, and he said "we have a set on the SV6" which I didn't even notice in 3 years of them having the car.
yeah got it all set up now looks pretty smick just gunna be keeping an eye on the rubber seals of the door one might need a be of a trim so it seals properly
heres some pics all set up
Looks good mate, easy to fit?
The Blue One
cool! Thanks for the pics!!!
surprisingly it wasnt too bad just slip the clips in under the rubber and felt lining chuck some primer line it all up screw in the bottom bit peel back tape stick it on and finishing bolting it in
of course doing the 2nd one was a lot easier as knew what needed to be done then
im thinking of getting a pair of these for the VU. so sick of water dripping in when i spray my windscreen or if it begins to rain on the way home in the arvo's![]()
Holden's weathershields part number 92140078 in smoked, sold as a pair, are $75.00.
These do not use clips as the clips can abrade the metal over time and loosen. Strong silkaflex stripping is used instead.
