    Default Misfire

    Gday guys.

Got a slight problem with my VZ V8 ute. It has this slight misfire pop fart to it when turning on the car and lasts for about 1 minute or so of random little misfiring. Once it does its time it runs beautiful. It has got me dazzeled. It plays up if the motor is HOT or COLD it dosnt matter still does this little misfire for a certain time length and then dissapears. Can anyone share some light upon the subject?

haha must be a common prob. Would it because I run my fuel tank too low sometimes. It does have 100,000 on the clock now

I have the exact issue you describe. Had not considered fuel pump as it happens only for a short time after starting hot or cold. My thought was if it was fuel would hapen all the time.
Keep us posted on if the fuel pump change fixes the problem

    Cheers

My problem turned out to be a faulty CO2 sensor. Has your issue been resolved?

Crap in the tank isnt really an issue these days with pastic tanks and good filters on fuel bowsers.

And if you think about it, any crap in the tank sinks to the bottom, and guess where the fuel pump draws fuel from full or empty

RiCey is right. And lets face it, that's what the fuel filter is for. If it gets clogged up with crap then you replace the filter not the fuel pump.

Quick plug into a Tech 2 should tell you if an O2 sensor is playing up.
