this is my experience with alloytecs (175kw vz) so far and getting an exhuast system and dyno tune.
i have done quite a bit of reading thanks to this forum cheers all , and ive been out to speak to a few performance exhuast plp in melbourne, read some stuff from castle hill exhuasts in syd (would have gone there if i was in syd), and this is what ive decided to do.
firstly , im going the cat back system only, 2 1/4 (2.25) twin, . im only after torque gain, lower end, and a nice low sound to add to the growler CAI system fitted. im not after a huge , rubble sound, cause lets face it , its only a 6...and it will sound like a fart in my opinion.so im leaving extractors out(for now, for research purposes, ). im not keen on the drone they may produce, at 100-130kms, it already drones a little and will do a bit more as it is a wagon.
next..this is handy as because the hp dyno shop is next door to the exhaust specialist
i want my v6 175 alloytec tuned properly, not what holden thinks we should have ( a detuned, sometimes "slug" for "emmission/noise" reasons) im not expecting a V8 torque at the end of this "exercise", but it will improve fuel, gear shift (being auto) and produce a more noticable power gain.
any hint, tips, storys , fair negative comments about this , all welcome
Acqua, be great to hear the before and after - dont like the sound of my alloytec!
