Default How to clean up a slip!

Hi Guys, last night I was comming home and my girlfriend was holding a cardboard tray full of drinks from McDonalds. All of a sudden we go round the corner like a snail and she drops them! The coke has gone all down the door, and run down past the seats and wet both the front and back of the car. As soon as we got home I grabbed a towel and wipped it all up, and dried the carpet with a hair drier. What do I do now?

Get an empty spray bottle, dilute 1 part general purpose cleaner (e.g. liquid dish detergent) with 7 parts water. Spray and wipe to clean the door cards and any plastics.
For the carpet, spray onto the stain and blot with a clean cloth. Rinse the cloth and repeat the process until the carpet is clean.

If that isn't tough enough, you can try a baking soda solution (1 part baking soda, 3 parts water) or carpet cleaner spray from the supermarket

I'd recommend taking out the parts that got wet as coke is nasty stuff. One of the previous owners of my car had spilt coke in my center console and it took me ages to clean it out, damn sticky stuff. Heaps of dust and dirt gets stuck in it as well, not very nice.

worse comes to worse, a steam cleaner will fix the carpet and seats. good to hear it cleaned up ok.
Need some parts for my VH 253:

Green sunglasses holder/lower dash bits...Air-con and assorted engine bay parts.
