Default Trans cooler and oil drain..oh shit

    g'day all,
just drained and refilled my manual transmission in my v6 ute..aswell as the diff...when i was road testing, i was thinking to myself..shit, is there constantly oil in the oil cooler? as soon as i drive the car it will just mix that old shit in with it.

so questions is, if there is oil in cooler constantly and it mixes with the new shit...how do you go about getting oil out of the cooler?...all i did was drop the oil and refill it to the plug.

    cheers everyone

dont worry about it is the best way for the home mechanic, the amount of old oil remaining in the cooler and lines is fairly small in comparison to the overall capacity of the sump, it'll just mix and that'll be that,

okay good haha...i was thinking oh shit, im just gunna emixing old with the new, but i trust you:P haha...was a bitch of a job to do the transmission..in a tight garage with shit everywhere, then getting under the car under not jack stands or nothing, just sitting on its wheels haha, very tight..then working your way around the exhaust and having the cats 1 inch above your head sucks haha..and pouring in 1 litre at a time of oil is a bitch in such a tight spot hahahaa..ahh well..what had to be done..is now done

lol next time you could at least drive the front wheels onto some pieces of timber if you got nothin else.... that would lift the car up 2 inches or so and give ya some extra nose room bro.
