Well today i went for a drive then came home locked the car in the garage then went to go out about an hour later, went to unlock my car and nothing?keept trying and still nothing?tryed the old coat hanger trick but car is deadlocked!
Any suggestions would be great or if other people have had the same problem.I only have the one key but have never had any problems with it in the past.
Thanks!
Did you physically put the key in the door lock and try and open it??
Yes and still nothing
Is your car battery flat? I think that could affect the central locking
No battery is fine only replaced 6 months ago with a sealed battery, the dash security lights are still flashing.
Might try get my hand up through the engine bay and disconnect the battery for a while?
No unfortunately any other suggestions might just have to go get a new key cut and programed?
use the key turn it to unlock with a bit of force and you should feel and hear a slight click
the door will be unlocked but the button will not pop up
Chev badges are an instant fail
Just tryed about 10 times and no go,i hear a click from the back actuator if i turn the key to the left however but that is locking?.
can't remember, do you have the owners manual, thats where i found it when i had the same issue.
try it the other way, just remember THE BUTTON WONT POP UP
Chev badges are an instant fail
Takes a lot of force but it will open

I have been told that if you turn the key and hold it for 10 - 20 seconds it will ovverride the system and let you in.. give it a go, when this happened to me my window was down, thank god
Life starts at 200km/h
have been trying guys but still no luck...i get a sound clicking when i turn the key to the left but sounds like just locking the door,i get no sound when i turn to the right however if i hold heaps of pressure well turning to the right feels like the door handel gets a bit stuck when i try to pull it?
Is this manually over riding the actuator or still working it electronically?
Any other hints/tips or another procedure i should use for the door lock ?
Thanks guys!
Next thing i will try tomorrow is disconnecting the battery for a while total discharging the security system(hopefully) then trying the key in the lock trick!

Turn to right a full 90 degrees

Wont let me turn it past about 75 degrees mate,i have applied ALOT of force..could this be because it is being electronically held?
Nup its normal to be tight as a nuns vagina.

damn well it sure is! il give it another crack so it should just turn all of a sudden to the 90 degrees mark after a hell lot of pressure then pull the door handle as well as turning and holding force.Turning clock'wise correct(double check)?
Thanks mate!
Once it goes 90 degrees it will be unlocked then you pull handle. Not both at once.

You sure its your car?..... Your'e not trying to open your neighbour's identical VZ are you? coz that could explain it...![]()
GO thru the boot then centre seat fold down and ur in
Just curious how do you plan to disconnect the battery if you can't get into the car to pop the bonnet
i disconnected the battery for 30mins(by jacking the car up and sticking my hand up there with a shifter)very painful! then re-connected it and decided to open after 4 trys. was highly considering smashing the window but got lucky!
thanks for the help guys!
Also brought a new key-90$
Try this:
Press LOCK twice, to deadlock.
Press UNLOCK twice, to free deadlock.
You can also manually deadlock by turning key fully left.
Check through OPTIONS that two-stage lock is not engaged and interfering.
Forcing the bonnet without using the release inside the car will trigger the alarm response.
