Post Anyone had Touch Up Guys fix there car?

Was parked beside a fence at work today with another car on my right, I always fuss about where I park my car and how I park it! I knew there wasnt a car on the left side therefore it wasnt possible for my car to get damaged and the car parked on my right belonged to my employee who leaves after I do so I was pretty happy with the park and walked straight to my office. After a long day at work I come out to see that some low life has pranged into the left hand side of my car, yep the fence side! I have absolutely no idea how some turd has even done this to my car! I have just had my car in to have have the rear bumper fixed which received towbar damage by another run away car vandalizing turd. Anyway to have my car fixed by insurance again it's gonna cost me a fortune and I am gonna loose my car again while it gets repaired. So has anyone ever had "Touch Up Guys" do pannel work on your car? They seem to be an easy and cheaper alternative to panel repair, and I won't lose my car as they come to me! If so please comment with your review on the job they did and I might consider getting them to give me a quote if there any good thanks!!

Photo's of the damage may be helpful, they can repair most things in your driveway.. Painting large area's may be the issue. they repaired/painted a rear bar for me $250

Just tried to upload a picture and it said that it was to large to upload, but it's only on the front bumper and it's taken chunks out of it showing the black plastic bumper. The damage is similar to a example picture that they have on there website with an end result of there work and to be honest it's not a bad job.

Touch Up Guys are professionals, usually trade-qualified and excellent at what they do, or they wouldn't be contracted to car dealers for prepping cars ready for sale. They've obviously gone over my VZ in many places (before I purchased it) then given it an amazing overcoat and polish. My sister's Astra CDXi (arctic white) had several ghastly door bumper and metal scrapes and the guy, working in our 3-car garage after colour matching in the back of his van, did a perfect job of it, but it cost $93. For my red VZ I use a bottle of Holden touch-up and a very fine-point sable hair brush with the tiniest of dabs, built up over 2 hours. Let dry, polish. Sorted. I would recommend you call them out for a quote (as my sister did); if they're on the road they're happy too. Helps if they have a protected area to work in e.g. garage because the presence of dust, dirt etc. in the air can affect the results.

Thats funny because I saw an ad on TV recently for a national type come to you car touch up mob franchise and they say "no experience neccessary we will train you", so much for experienced professionals.
I will look out for the ad to get their name, might be one group not to employ.

    Hmm. Quite interesting.

Anyways, the TUG (Touch-up Guys) are coming on Friday to make-over my brother-in-laws beaut-ute — bonnet hit by a stone near Warratah Bay last Saturday.

i wouldn't mind getting a touch up guy to work on my car, someone touched my rear bumper at a carpark which has left some small scratches, its not too noticeable but ill probably still get it fixed. Does anyone know any good touch up guys around south east Melbourne?
    cheers.

Yeah I wasn't real sure that they would be able to fix mine and leave it unnoticeable but I was shocked at how good it looks, all the other blemishes and small marks that were there are now all fixed as he sanded the entire bumper and sprayed it again. I would defiantly recommend them!

A shame ""Little Red VZ Go-Kart"" that you bag Reaper for pulling you up on the professional quote, and they are meant to be so good that you get a, quote perfect job that you ""could"" tell it was them that worked over your car before your bought it?? HHMMMM interesting so a perfect, undectectable prefessional slash amature, ark , titanic repair.... I am confused. If their repairs are perfect you shouldn't be able to detect anything! The sad thing is I was not searching for info like this a year ago! So I could reply more quickly. Sounds like you might do paid postings for the Tugers. People forget that companies like TUG can easily pay people to troll internet formus and post stuff.

Little VZ to put to rest another myth TUG are not contrated to dealers there are no contracts with dealers, I know of only one dealer in a 30 minute or more radius who uses them, and that is only because he used to be the dealer principal there! It is stupid to suggest that EVERY FRANCHISED TUG GUY is a perfect professional, I doubt it! Mc Donalds are the kings of Franching yet I have been to plenty of stores that suck and make a sloppy/ cold hambuger, with dirty toilets. Yet I have been to professional Chefs restaurants who have made an awesome hamburger best you have tasted. So much for the play on words with the ark and titanic!

To be honest I am sure there are some good operators who work with TUG, but so are there with other companies or lone operators, do TUG use good quality paints ? if so what? as a fast job doesn't mean good, alot of operators use cheap acryllic paint looks good for a few months untill it starts to chip easily or doesn't buff as well or have the depth of gloss. Superfinish are a franchise who specilise in trade work like TUG but for dealers and some are good operators, but some are crap!! Answer your question? How do I know this I work for a dealer, and TUG can't handle the type of work we need done at times, they only deal in the easy stuff and we had some concerns from customers about work that had been done.

Anyway my two cents I know I am late to the party, just wanted to shop around before I got some work done, but I think I will definiatley use the company my dealership uses and it ain't touch up guys!

My old man does mobile touch ups on cars, has been doing so since before i can remember. His work is always great and is forever getting calls from friends and family about highway stones and carpark incidents. If only i could get him to work on my bloody car!

Can anyone recommend someone in Perth? I was thinking of calling "What Scratch" but I have no idea if they are any good or not. I am looking for someone who does quality work with quality paint etc. I have some light scratches (no panel damage or undercoat damage) on my passenger front door. They are deep enough to have removed the colour paint, but not deep enough to have removed the undercoat or caused any panel deformation. Any advice on a reliable operator would be greatly appreciated.
