check you oils your big end bearing may be rubbing but i might be rong
I noticed about a month ago that my engine made this strange scraping noise when under throttle comming up to 3000rpm. I can only hear it breifly, but it doesnt sound good. When I accellerate up to 3000rpm in 2nd gear, it makes a 'shhhh' noise. It also does it when passing 2000rpm in a higher gear.
Any ideas on where to start looking?

Also check engine mounts sometimes when they get worn they make grinding/rattling noises under throttle lol
But what stumps me is the fact its only there at just under 3,000rpm and sometimes 2,000. I'm really hoping its not something to do with the variable valve timing.
