I have kings springs and pedders shocks in my VZ, no complaints.

Obviously theres better brands out there but for a daily driver you dont need to go overboard.

all the better brands are racing coilovers eibacks are just as good as pedders you just pay for the freight and the name

an example olims and proflex but these are for racing

Youll find the top end brands have higher quality components in them, dont believe everyhting pedders tell you.

The old saying you get what you pay for is fairly accurate in most cases.

pedders has some good stuff and some crap stuff there springs are made in australia to the highest standerd there urathane is made by redranger who owns nolathane so that is good

but i have found that some pedders stuff isent of great quality but most of there stuff is good

but i have driven a car with there chepest shocks and then one with there best shocks i wouldent touch the cheapos with a 40 foot pole the medium range shocks are pretty much standerd feeling

i wouldn't go near pedders, ages ago pedders got into some strife because they made their bushes too stiff...they were great, but when they got working they were buggered...alot of complaints came from people who had imbalanced wheels, the imbalance causes the wheels to move around, lower control arm would be bouncing up n down real quick, those stiff pedders bushes would melt...now if pedders made a mistake as simple as too harder compound on bushes, #### knows what else is going wrong...shows me how much they really know suspension anyways hence why i would never recommend pedders stuff...i'd say king springs, lovells or whiteline

pedders dont make there own bushes, they are made by red ranger, the same company that make nolathane and whiteline, pedders bushes are nolathane in a different pack.

Sorry to hijack the thread, I have an 07 VZ Exec wagon I want to lower. A suspension place nearby offered 450 for superlow King springs installed but didn't give me any other helpful advice. So what should I be considering here? Do I need to replace the shocks as well? Will I need to roll the guards? The car drives like a boat at the moment and I'm used to my VTII S. I want the wagon to look better and ride better at low cost. All help appreciated.

Go pedders dude, there front springs are progresive springs. Also dont go TOO low in the rear, otherwise you will be popping out c-v joints

If I buy king superlows for my car, will I need anything else for a mechanic to fit them?

I put pedders in mine buddy, the comparison between my car and my brothers (running Kings) is noticable. I think that paying that little bit extra for pedders is worth it.

If this is the same joint that used to be in the Auto Plaza they wrecked a car of mine a while back they replaced lower ball joints and bent the lower arms, didn't lock the tapers into the stub axles and the list goes on.

no you shouldnt, but your probably better off just taking it to your local tyre and suspension specialists, they should be able to put them in for you for a price

I've used East Coast Suspensions several times at both Auto Plaza & Taren Point & haven't have any problems. When did you have the work done by them?

i may be missing something here but why lower a car then put pump up shocks in????????
dont forget when you lower a car there is a hieght of 100mm under the car but also a rule about wheel centre to the top of the wheel arch. look it up the cops around the entrance use it to great effect.
i do as the voices tell me

Why lower a car so its stiff as hell? How can this greatly increase performance, comfort and driveability? There is no need to get SSSSSSSSSSSL. Looks like a low lux and cant be driven easily.
