    Default Daytime running light wiring

    Hey,
I have just purchased a set DRL from ezi hid. My question is about wiring, i know i could just wire them up to the parkers, but i leave my lights on auto and want to be able to turn the drl on and off independently.

My idea is to wire the power leads to the cigarette lighter, via piggy backing and mount a switch in the centre console to have full control of them.

Would this be a viable solution, and if any one else has different solutions they would be much appreciated.

    Cheers guys

wire them to one of the red wires in the loom near the fuse box in the engine bay and just earth the negative. this way it will turn off and on with the key and u can put a switch in if u like

just beware theres a thread somewhere here from a few weeks ago where one bloke got warned by the cops about them because to be DRL they need to be on with the headlight/parkers off and off with the headlight/parkers on ... otherwise their classified as a fog light and if their sitting near the headlight its too high and therefore illegal.

And before someone says "what about driving lights like the spotlights on the front of 4x4 bullbars", there defined as a light that comes on only with high beam engaged by using a switch
