A single 2.5in sounds bad? mate, you aint heard mine yet. But I must admit when its coupled to an auto, they sound a bit like a fart. Stay with the stock exhaust if youve got a slush box.

Get a twin 2 1/4. I have an auto sv6 with extractors and new cats and it sounds mad.

+1 for a lukey catback, you won't regret it! Mine's an ecotec but they are no doubt the best muffler for the holden v6... Everything else is second best!

completely different engine. pushrod to DOHC engine. different sound, different requirements.

I already pointed out that mine was an ecotec AND that they sound good on Holden V6's so what's your point?

Two of my mates have alloytecs and they BOTH have Lukey catbacks and they sound great compared to other alloytecs I've heard.

Never did I say an ecotec would sound the same as an alloytec... Merely just stated that in my opinion a lukey catback is a no brainer

His point is that the ecotec and alloytec have 2 completely different sounds... so what sounds good on one, may not on the other. to be honest, i havent heard a lukey system i really like on an alloytec... get back in your box, noob

Too many times people get the panties on back to front on this forum.

EDIT: "Holden V6s" that covers all V6's... how can yhou associate the alloytec/ecotec in the same class as he stated, pushrod DOHC. 2 Very different types of motors btoh make very different noises
    Life starts at 200km/h

Yea I was probably a bit broad in saying that "all holden v6's" sound good with a lukey... But as far as I'm concerned they sound better than redback and what not and that's from personal experience my ecotec (unrelated, yes) and my mates alloytecs (totally related) and yes I know they don't sound the same and never will due to the "technical specifications" that you have pointed out, but never once did I say they would sound the same

However this is all completely my opinion, but then again this is what was asked for by the the OP

And also just wanted to reiterate that my mates have lukey catbacks on their alloytecs before you accuse me again of putting the ecotec and alloytec in the same basket

wasnt having a go at you mate, just as impulsive said, they are 2 completely different systems, and what sounds good on one, may be better options for the other. of course most people will go a single system on the ecotecs because they merge into a single cat. where as the 190 alloytecs have dual cats, so a better system would be a twin of some sort. again it comes down to personal preference, and what type of sound you are looking for. btw, this thread is old, and if the OP has not got his exhaust done in the last 6 months, then something is wrong lol. btw, did anyone realise soop has been banned?
