SERVICE VEHICLE SOON message

Yesterday the SVS message appeared on my 2005 acclaim's dash.

After a quick search I found a post on this subject. I took the advice and had a scan tool placed on car. (local auto electrician and no charge!!!!) The printout said, OIL PRESSURE SENSOR PERFORMANCE.

I changed the sensor and the message has not returned. Paid $68.00 for part at Blacktown in Sydney.

Changing the sensor which is located at the base of the oil filter took less than a minute.

Holden wanted over $200.00 to do the fix.

Good work - and cheap fix

Dunno about a cheap fix, i have had to change the damb sensor twice in 4 months just hoping it was a dodge sensor...
