hi,
i have a problem with my central locking on my vz adventure. sometimes when i press the remote to either lock or unlock the doors the drivers side indicators stay on and will only turn off but continually locking and unlocking doors until it goes off.....
has any one had this problem and can any one help????
Given recent street corner discussions I've bumped into, have you at some stage confused the locking cycle and are now stuck in a deadlocking cycle? The behaviour of the indicators changes for deadlocking as opposed to normal lock/unlock. When deadlock is engaged, the indicators will stay on a bit longer, then go off. In the last few weeks I have been profoundly amazed that many, many Holden owners are inadvertantly engaging deadlocking and confusing themselves (and the car's BCM!). Even my Holden techie got a giggle, but he said it's caused by drivers not familiarising themselves with the two locking types available, or forgetfully pressing lock twice then a third time. I think the car (->BCM that controls central locking) needs to be "rested" for about 15 minutes to reset, otherwise a service/check with the tech instrument would be wise to sort it (and the driver!) out. This implies that if you are not in difficulty with deadlocking, then the BCM needs a walk-through to ensure a fault hasn't developed.
