hey, i have recently put on a twin 2.5 exhaust, and wondering if anyone has had this problem with aftermarket exhausts. at extremly low rpm (think like 700-1000), somewhere around the rear bumper vibrates from the resonance? ive tried to figure out what it is but its hard to. any ideas on how to figure it out, or anyone had similar things?
cheers
When it's idling, go round the back and check the tailpipes, if they're shaking around, it will be your rear rubber mounts. If you can't see it shaking, it will be your forward rubber mounts.
cheers for that, ive done that, i even shook the exhaust and it wasnt making the sound. i did look at the front mounts and the little metal clips on the brackets are loose but they make another noise which i fixed. its more like when u have a sub frequency resonating somewhere, and only under load.
Sounds like you have the typical 2 1/2" twin system drone on a VZ SV6. Let me guess....it's an X Force system?
